About Prep & Lose
We believe healthy eating shouldn't be complicated. Meal prep changed our lives — and we built this site to help it change yours too.
Our Story
Prep & Lose started with a familiar struggle: we wanted to eat healthier and lose weight, but life kept getting in the way. Between work, family, and everything else, "I'll cook something healthy tonight" turned into takeout more often than we'd like to admit.
Then we discovered meal prep. Not the Instagram-perfect, 20-container, spend-your-entire-Sunday version. The practical version. The version that works for real people with real schedules.
We started prepping just 3 days of meals at a time. The results were immediate: we saved money, ate better, and actually lost weight — without feeling like we were "on a diet."
This site is everything we've learned along the way, organized so you don't have to figure it out the hard way like we did.
What We Believe
- Perfection is the enemy. A "good enough" meal prep that you actually do beats a perfect plan you never start.
- Food should taste good. If your meal prep tastes like punishment, you won't stick with it. We prioritize flavor.
- No gimmicks. No magic pills, no "one weird trick," no detox tea. Just real food, portion control, and consistency.
- Everyone's journey is different. What works for a 25-year-old athlete might not work for a 45-year-old busy parent. We offer options, not prescriptions.
How We Make Money
Prep & Lose is free for everyone. We earn money through:
- Affiliate links: When we recommend a product (like meal prep containers or kitchen tools) and you buy through our link, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. We only recommend products we've personally tested and believe in.
- Display advertising: Ads on the site help cover hosting and content creation costs.
We never accept payment for positive reviews. Our recommendations are based on real testing and honest assessment. Full affiliate disclosure.
